Post-Organic Bauplan (ARG/DEU) is a long-term artistic research project by choreographer and performer Josefina Maro and evolutionary biologist and artist Salvador Marino. Since 2017, they have been developing robotic prostheses and creatures to explore movement and question the ways technology shapes bodies physically, socially, and emotionally.
The duo works on the development of robotic prostheses to explore movement and question the practices that condition our bodily perception. They seek to disembody the idea of the body as natural, given, and unmodifiable. The prostheses developed by Post-Organic Bauplan become a source of experimentation and imagination for a corporeality beyond its institutionalization, making possible new relationships with the environment and allowing us to rethink the limits of the body.
Through live performances, installations, and video works, they investigate human–machine parasitic relationships beyond productivity, imagining new forms of embodiment and connection.
