Nathan Dawidowicz (They/Them)
Nathan Dawidowicz’s path has been one of contrast and exploration. Born to a Polish-Lithuanian mother and a Cameroonian father, they moved from Milan to Jerusalem at the age of six, growing up in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community. While pursuing an academic path in design, music remained a constant companion, deeply rooted in childhood experiences playing the piano within religious ceremonies.
Though design became their formal study, it was music that provided a way to navigate life. Inspired by their father’s time as a DJ in Milan throughout the ’80s and ’90s, Nathan’s relationship with sound evolved, eventually leading them to Berlin, where they continued to explore expression through music—developing their voice both as a producer and a DJ known for their fluid, cross-genre approach.
In Berlin, they joined forces with Luspoderosa, a label based between Zurich and Berlin, known for its unconventional approach. This collaboration became the foundation for Nathan’s debut solo LP, Sanctuary of Ideas—a deeply personal, cosmic exploration of memory, heritage, and the emotional landscapes of sound.
It was when Calm and David Holmes started playing “Capricorn Rising Over Jerusalemite Temple” from that album that Hell Yeah founder Marco Gallerani was encouraged to reach out to Nathan. A few months later, their conversations turned toward releasing Nathan’s latest full-length LP, “FLUFF””.
Accompanying the release is a live tour meticulously built from the ground up around analog, modular, and percussive instruments. It unfolds as a continuous psychedelic set that delves into polyrhythmic structures, weaving together influences from electro, techno, dub, disco, cosmic, ambient, and kraut, alongside album references, improvisations, and new compositions—exploring morphic soundscapes and processes of change, growth, renewal, and constant movement through sound.
