lou—kee is the solo project of Berlin-based sound designer Matas Gancevičius. The sound of lou—kee is both present and peripheral. Its textures explore light and dark: not as opposites, but as a coexistence. Born in Vilnius, co-founder of collective Art Cue and trained in classical piano for nine years before turning to electronic music. Matas also designs immersive sound — recent works include quad-sound for Faktura Studio’s art installation and being part of the sound design team for Paul Smith’s AW25 Fashion Show at Tokyo National museum. Questions are shadows and we are lights.
