Elena creates experimental ceramic sound objects, installations, and performative structures that investigate the boundaries between the visible and the audible, between body, space, and object, as well as between technology and archaic forms. Her works often function as spatial instruments – whistling, humming, or vibrating – establishing a living connection between the human, material, and sonic environment.
Elena’s creative practice is grounded in ceramics and expands into the fields of sound and performance. She consider clay the core of her creative process – a living, changing material through which she explore the connections between the visible and the audible, the material and the ephemeral worlds. Natural elements—air, water, earth—often intertwine in my work, revealing the thin boundary between the tangible and the intangible, the body and space. The pieces integrate both natural and technological elements, creating a meditative, space-filling sound experience.
