REANIMAI — A Travelling Visual Laboratory
REANIMAI is a travelling visual laboratory where reclaimed materials, forgotten fragments, and discarded objects undergo a process of transformation. Rather than restoring them to what they once were, the laboratory reanimates them into new forms of existence through archetypal figures, organic structures, and otherworldly hybrids.
At YAGA Festival, REANIMAI presents a new investigation inspired by the phenomenon of the cordyceps fungus. Second-hand fragments are transformed into ant-inhabited organisms that blur the boundaries between the living and the inanimate, nature and construction. The installation unfolds as a visual narrative about the loss of control, transformation, and the possibility of being reborn in an entirely different form.
REANIMAI explores the threshold between residue and life: what happens when abandoned materials are given a new purpose? Perhaps rebirth does not require returning to the past, but allowing something else to take the lead—something older than us: nature, mycelium, and the invisible processes that quietly connect everything into a single network.
This laboratory does not create new bodies—it awakens those that already exist.
