Yaga Gathering 2025: Five Days of Sound, Art, and Community

2025 04 30

From July 10 to 14, deep in the forests of Dzūkija, the long-standing Yaga Gathering returns for its 22nd edition — a five-day celebration where music, visual art, nature, and a strong sense of community intertwine. The curators have now revealed the full musical program.

“Yaga Gathering’s music curation is a carefully crafted world of sound. Each stage carries its own energy, intention, and voice — but all of them revolve around celebration and being together,” says festival co-founder Anton Shoom.

Valley is the beating heart of Yaga — pulsing with tempo, fire, and deep night energy. “It’s not about what’s trendy, but what’s true,” says stage curator Paulius Kamblevičius, founder of Why People Dance. The lineup features names like Polygonia (DE), Fantastic Twins (DE), Sunju Hargun (TH), Anatolian Weapons (GR), and a live psychedelic set by Temple Rat (CN).

Pinegrove, surrounded by pines, becomes a sanctuary of subtle sound — leaning even more this year into slow-paced, emotionally resonant sets. Curated by Nerijus Damaševičius (Minimal Mondays), the stage brings together innovative and classic sounds alike. Highlights include the futuristic vocal landscapes of Lyra Pramuk (US), a special two-hour set by Gëinst (FR), and genre-blending selections by Conna Haraway (UK).

Duskwood, tucked beside a stream, continues its journey through psychedelic trance and mind-bending sound. Curator Tadas Majeris refines the stage even further this year, weaving in new strands of trance and elevating it to new levels of intensity and diversity.

By the lake, LRT Opus becomes the home of daytime groove, shaped by the sound aesthetic of the LRT Opus radio station and curated by N. Damaševičius. This year’s highlights include the beloved Kamanių Šilelis, original folk-dub from Rokas Kašėta, soulful house from Art Cue, light reggae vibrations from Ministry of Echology, and more.

Among the surprises beyond the main stages is Venus Vulgaris, a new space co-created by Žygimantas Kudirka (MC Messiah) and Miss Plastica. Set in the atmospheric underground of the site, it combines daring electronic music with spontaneous performance art. Expect blends of vogue, ballroom, mysterious techno, slow breaks, and Latin rhythms — plus drag queens roaming the space, immersive visual installations by Vygintas Orlovas, and a costume closet open for playful transformation.
