After all these years, it is still difficult to put into words the gratitude to everyone who has been part of the beautiful Yaga journey. Feeling proud of what all of us created together.
Thank you to everyone who attended, who trusted us in our decisions, and contributed their time, energy and money by purchasing a ticket. Because of you, Yaga Gathering remains one of the rare truly independent events. Over twenty years, we continue with no corporate backing, no commercial or institutional sponsors, and no public funding. Yaga Gathering is sustained by the people who choose to attend and buy a ticket. It is your trust that makes Yaga possible!
Thank you to the programme curators, who contributed their creativity and aligned their visions. Thank you for your creative inquiry, courage, and for making the programme manifest as one.
Thank you to the musicians and performers, speakers, workshop facilitators and teachers, visual and performance artists, and participatory-project creators, who contributed their art, time and energy, overcame obstacles, found ways forward and brought the Yaga experience to life.
Thank you to the amazing production teams for all the sweat and effort they gave. Thank you to the builders, sound, light and electricity teams, stage managers, hospitality teams, drivers and volunteers who shared their skills, invested themselves fully, and often did more than expected. You are the backbone of the gathering.
Thank you to the security, first aid and harm reduction teams – you did a great job guarding the peace and educating us for the goodness that extends well beyond the gathering. Thank you to the community who looked after one another, helped those in need and made us all feel at home.
Thank you, communication teams, media, photographers and videographers – your quiet presence and insightful observations help to spread the word, direct attention and draw new creative energy.
Thank you to the landowners, local communities and authorities, partners, dear friends and family – your everlasting support, understanding and willingness to help aid us immensely in our everyday actions.
Thank you to the org team – for going many extra miles, for committing to unpopular decisions, for having each other’s back, your dedication and effort well beyond material reward, for your shared vision, care and love for what we do.
Thank you to the power of nature for the beautiful lake, river, and the forest. Thank you for the strong roots of that Pinegrove tree, and for bringing the weather to our side.
Thank you to everyone mentioned here and those behind the scenes for your contribution that makes Yaga what it is!
With gratitude,
Yaga Gathering
