After ages of hiding in plain sight, a living system of networks, connections, and signals finally caught the scientific community’s attention. Maybe this is the reason why exactly here rhythms sync, paths intersect, and encounters feel guided rather than random? Why music, art, and people form overlapping networks that merge into one shared flow, as if shaped by the underlying system?
A frontline research group known as THE MYCELIUM INSTITUTE has set up its laboratories in the forest. They create a scattered web of temporary structures, screens, membranes, instruments, and lights, set up to study the phenomenon as it unfolds. By measuring patterns and collective behaviour across the event – from dancefloors to installations – the Institute begins to trace networks of influence spreading through the camp. Yet as the research deepens, a question slowly surfaces: are we researching the mycelium – or is the mycelium researching us?
