The idea behind “The Flow” is to represent the complexity of water, its capacity for movement, and its fundamental roles of hosting and nourishing all forms of life. Water is part of and a vital element of our world. It is like blood in our vessels, like river beds flowing, distributing and bringing life.
An abstract patchwork of quilts made of fabric pieces, naturally dyed with indigo, avocado and oak leafs. The quilt has transparent tubes inserted in the fabric, which transport water of different colors between glass containers. After the first cycle, they mix and create a new shade. This movement creates sound, which is enhanced by a soundscape installation as well.
