The Replastico2 project started in 2017 – quite unexpectedly and experimentally when I lived and worked in Glasgow, Scotland. Replastico2 upcycles plastic bags that, when disposed of with other waste, are not normally recycled and end up in landfills. The bags and packaging used in the project come from different people and organizations, so the manufacturing process of this product connects all the people who support sustainable and upcycled design. Plastic pollution is a very big problem at the moment, so I try to look at it through the prism of creativity, which has an added social value and encourages us to think about how it can be used to develop new products.
