Vilnius DJ and producer Alex Pletnev has seen a rapid rise in the electronic music scene, becoming a prominent figure over the past year. Known for his prolific production and interesting DJ and live sets, he has captivated audiences across Europe. His records, released under various aliases, are featured in the collections of top-tier DJs, with his latest releases hailed as some of the best of 2024.
Internationally recognized, Alex has performed at some of Europe’s most esteemed venues and festivals, including Roxy Club in Paris, Razzmatazz in Barcelona, Renate and About:Blank in Berlin, Trans Musicales in Rennes, and Ant Bangos festival in Lithuania. His releases on labels like R.A.N.D. Muzik, Echocentric, Linale, SZE (a Secretsundaze sub-label), KUMP, and Le Temps Perdu have garnered widespread acclaim, with remixes from luminaries such as Octo Octa, Ploy, Inga Mauer, Anna Helder, and Heap.
2023 was a pivotal year with the release of his record “And You Never Come Back,” which was part of the progressive house revival through R.A.N.D. Muzik x Echocentric. The record achieved major success, leading to multiple represses. In 2024, Alex collaborated with Public Exercises (Subwax), Spacelab, and Echocentric imprints to release full-length EPs, which quickly spread across DJ sets during the summer festival season.
Beyond his solo career, Alex also collaborates with Fourme Rouz as the duo Moisk. Together, they have released compelling records on labels like Warning Records, Mana Abundance, Griffé Records, and Pleasure Express. Winter 2025 will see the release of an eclectic Moisk EP on the new Antinote’s sub-label.
