Since adolescence, Marius has been driven by curiosity to explore the world and discover the true joy of life. This journey, full of both joyful discoveries and challenges, has provided invaluable personal experience and deep understanding that has shaped his worldview.
After a long career in show business on radio and TV, Marius has spent most of his time traveling the world, sharing his knowledge of extreme sports and living in Southeast Asia. This period is marked by in-depth research into yoga, meditation, vipassana, applied psychology, breathing and energy practices.
The quarantine that began in 2020 became an impetus to delve even deeper into the practices of the Wim Hof method, which includes intensive breathing and cold therapy. This experience revived previous practices, encouraged him to search for new methods and begin to create their most effective synthesis.
In order to improve, he studied with the legendary Dan Brule. Marius studied holotropic and circulatory breathing, researched ancient breathing methods and techniques, combining them with modern scientific knowledge and constantly practicing. He also delved into the study of human physiology and psychosomatic states, studying the influence of breathing on the human body.
Today, in his programs, Marius Šmitas integrates breathing with the most advanced psychological and emotional therapy methods, musical sounds and body impact techniques, aiming to help people:
– Improve physical and mental well-being: through breathing practices by strengthening the body and calming the mind.
– Get rid of stress and anxiety: using effective breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.
– Find inner peace and balance: through deep breathing sessions and meditations.
– Reveal your potential: by developing conscious breathing and its effect on emotions and behavior.
– To go beyond your limits and discover the Joy of Life.
This year at Yaga Gathering Marius will share his his knowledge in his lecture “How the way we breathe influences human body systems and enhances psychodelic experiences” and will give practical workshop on Sunday morning “Introduction to psychodelic breathing”
