Pressure builds inside a semi-transparent latex structure. Performers move slowly, intimately, then desperately—struggling with a space that seems both protective and suffocating. This final performance in a years-long series is part sculpture, part choreography, and entirely physical.
Created by Welsh artist and scenographer Ella Skinner, the project began in 2021, rooted in the architecture of Skinner’s own apartment in Manchester. Her background spans literature, painting, and fine art, which she combines with training in set design from Pinewood Studios. Her work is known for its raw, sensory materiality, often incorporating latex, synthetic materials, and architectural forms to explore tension, desire, and constraint.
