Old raver, vinyl sound lover, melomaniac and vinyl collector and player. In the history of the Lithuanian rave he was one of the publishers of the electronic music zine “Nervas”. Wrapped in Acid’s sounds, you can not stop admiring their waves and want to press the speed at a wide range of techno rhythms and in the upcoming mood of this music. Music is salvation, in acid admiration, beats per minute flight meditation.
Eyal Ben Shimon has been experimenting with music from a very young age. This is not surprising, as musicality runs hard in his family blood line and childhood memories are painted with music all through out. Growing up in the colorful melting pot Jerusalem city is, got him taking in inspiration in all sorts of shades to eventually become a complex and culturally rich young man. This resulted in landing his first residency whilst being under age, only 17 years old, at the legendry Bass club in Jerusalem. Expectedly followed was a growing experimentation with music production, starting almost a decade ago. Naturally, this led to specialized education, first in piano and classical music and then synthesis and sound production. This deep love for music combined with a great sense of curiosity got Eyal to develop a broad and versatile personal taste. Groove dripping, Eyal’s sly and sassy productions invite the listener to get low and dirty in the darkness only to then lift them back with a cheeky twist. His sets tend to bring the edges to the front and create colorful and curvy experiences. Eyal has releases in London’s Sulk Magic Recordings (supported by Trevor Jackson), Berlin’s NEIN Records, Dutch Karakter Records and he is the only non-Latin American producer who featured in the highly appreciated Calypso Records. Under his record is also a spot in Beatport’s bestselling chart and being played by Ivan Smadgghe on his famous NTS radio show. Currently, Eyal is working on an LP for several large label companies as well as various artists’ remixes. Adding to the mix, this busy bee also functions under the name of Blame Honey – the wild boy – productions that are far more experimental and trashy. Expanding to additional territories within the field, saw a collaboration with Lily Haz and the two establishing the promising TofiStock record label. The label follows a belief in the existence of a wealth of music hidden in the backs of drawers, awaiting to be uncovered. Not constricted to hifi or lofi styles of productions, TofiStock’s common ground is based on a sneaky, sleazy, romantic, dark vibe. The year of 2018 has already kicked off with a European tour for Eyal and unstoppable hunger for continuous making.

Sent to warn people of an impending storm, the Thunder Goat (lat. Gallinago gallinago), harnesses the currents of wind creating vibrations with its outer tail feathers and making bleating-like sounds. But… If you listen more carefully, the Thunder Goat’s vibrating feathers hide much more subtle electronic wave signals entwined by analog threads and in them we discover the state of weightlessness. A bird is an intermediary, thus I see these shows as a dialogue between Being and Nothingness. There is no story here – just Abstraction, a state, a colour, a dot and a dash – emotional things. The law of chance is a motive that fascinates and surprises me as we are immersed in the indefinite wave caused by the vibrations of the Thunder Goat’s feathers. The bleating sound of the vibrating Thunder Goat’s feathers is the volume of the pauses between daily occurrences. The fragments of the moments during which waves of varying frequencies pass through our bodies. That which fills the space. In terms of both thoughts and emotions. It is the magnification and exploration of the segment of time. Each flight is very individual: our vibrations ranges from industrial / techno / dark to ambient/electronic/ sound collage/storytelling/ drone styles. Sonic flights observer and pilots.

eww is a musical contradiction exploring boundaries between styles. I was never satisfied with a general tendency of overly “dark” underground electronic music and wanted to sprinkle some positive vibes on it. At the same time, I was upset by the plainness of positive music, so I wanted to add some complexity to it. I’m the ying and yang of music.
Two entities remember their spiritual experiences in a musical way in order to create a soulful musical experience.
Deividas Jaroška got noticed by many people this year, but he actualy was already known for a long time in the Lithuanian underground scene. He has been involved in “Dėžė Dėžutėj” for two years, has been developing “Blackwing” for projects for 3 years, Jaroška and “Carus” are constantly playing at hot spots of Vilnius. This year is a especialy busy for him. This summer, the performer can boast about the number of his local perfomances and that he visited Riga’s and Kiev’s local scenes. His most popular project, “Jaroška”, does not have one specific style, but it defines more clearly all the ideas the performer thinks of, and it does not matter: whether it is dance music or audio experiments.
His mixes were released on Secret Thirdteen, Palanga Street Radio and Serbian radio stations. And all of them are completely different. Whether it’s New Age, avant-garde provocations, or functional waves or electro rhythms. The performer, creates his own music and has already started projects with Coherent Sound and AR / FM labels. And there’s more than one live show on the Internet.
For our Concept scene, he prepared a mutant of live improvisation and dance music, whose main idea is to destroy the boundaries between music for active listeners on the sofa and club music on the dance floor.

Thieves of Style
Stiliaus vagys (Thieves of Style) is a concept and a group of characters introduced in a satyrical novel “Crimino-mythological tale of lies” by Ignas Šatkauskas – a Vilnius University lecturer and a Ph.D student. It is a novel in progress that has been introduced to a wider public only partially – as part of several audiovisual performances in various festivals and plein-air’s in Lithuania together with witch-hop band Žaliukai and as an adaptation to radio-drama, transmitted on Start.fm radio show “Bilitetų Nėra” as two first parts of mocumentary radio series “Crimino-mythology”, created together with author’s sister, actress, director and sound performer Julija Šatkauskaitė a.k.a. Cat-bit Jules.
The novel surges into a parallel universe of modern Lithuania and Vilnius where a tenacious demons of metaphysical origin seek to overthrow harmony in Vilnius by scheming a scandalous affair, theft, murder and throwing a pile of missing diamonds on top of it. Absorbing contemporary cultural and social environment and transforming it into a meta-reality of our cognitive experience, the book talks about our social reality through self-irronical reflective perspective. The characters in the book represent roughly sketched thinking modules, behavior patterns, archetypes and directions of cultural co-oexperience in modern society we perceive. The story is written in a aesopian language and filled with rich portion of irony and comical elements. All the archetypes and social role models in the fabula have totemic animal surnames or names, that represent a specific trait concluding the character’s personality.
The performance will concentrate on the ideas and appearances of the Thieves of Style – a group of characters, who contemplate postmodern ways of looking at creative culture, the concept of authenticity and originality. Their method of reframing and reshaping known culture is notoriously frank about it’s criminal appropriation of the style and manner of other, well-respected artists and thinkers. In the story, they don’t shy away from rather sarcastic ways to reflect upon their society – they are the ones, who turn a scandalous engagement and murder into a metaphysical labyrinth were one can find ways to cope with demons that haunt almost every individual in modern world. Electronic music will merge with literature and live questions about philosophy and writing, leading the audience into a dialogue about written and unwritten narrative of this particular psychedelic story.
